How to create a Collaborative Playlist on Apple Music?

As of now, Apple Music does not support the creation of collaborative playlists like Spotify does. However, there is good news on the horizon. Apple has announced that iOS 17 will introduce a new feature called Collaborative Playlists in Apple Music. This feature will enable subscribers to collaborate with family and friends on playlists, allowing all participants to contribute new songs and more. The announcement was made during the 2023 WWDC keynote, where a screenshot showcased four friends working on a "Game Night" playlist, displaying the song and profile picture of the person who added it. With the forthcoming update, Apple Music users can look forward to an enhanced playlist sharing experience.

While full-fledged collaboration on Apple Music playlists, where multiple users can add songs, is not currently available, you can still create and share playlists with your friends. If a friend shares a playlist with you on Apple Music, any updates or changes they make to that playlist will automatically reflect on your end as well. So while it may not be a real-time collaboration, sharing playlists allows you to enjoy the updates and additions made by your friends within your own Apple Music experience.
