How to play Spotify music on Samsung Galaxy Watch

Compared to Gear S3, Galaxy Watch has longer battery life and is more fitness-focused, thanks to additional sensors and a revamped Samsung Health app. Galaxy Watch is also a better choice for music - whether that's on a morning commute or your daily workout. Ensure your Samsung smart watch is paired to your compatible smartphone and you have transferred the media file from your smartphone directly to the watch.

Option 1 Play local music on Galaxy Watch

Transfer Music to your Galaxy Watch on your phone

1. Open the Galaxy Wearables App

2. Tap on Settings and select Add content to your Watch

3. Select Add Tracks

4. Select your preferred tracks and tap Done

5. Open the Music App within your Galaxy Watch Active and locate your recently added music file.

On Gear S3, Sport and Galaxy Watch devices:

1. Press the Home key to access the Apps screen

2. Open the Music app

3. Tap the

Option 2 Stream music via your Spotify Premium Account

Simply download the Spotify app on your Galaxy Watch. You get the ability to access recently played music, playlists and the top charts. Naturally, you'll also get to take a look at your own library, which includes your custom playlists. If you have Spotify premium subscription, you can download Spotify playlists directly on your watch.

1. Make sure you have connected to an internet connection.

2. Tap on the Spotify app

3. Sign into your Spotify Premium Account.

4. Select Browse

5. Tap on Charts

6. Tap on your preferred Playlist

7. Turn toggle on to download the playlist

8. When the playlist has been completely downloaded, search through your Recently Played or My Music to listen to your Offline Playlists.

Option 3 What if you don't have Spotify premium

If you don't have Spotify premium, you can still play Spotify music on Galaxy watch. The difference is sound quality and you can't download music to listen offline. However, here we will show you have to enjoy Spotify songs offline without premium. You just need a Spotify music downloader to download Spotify music to mp3 and then transfer them to Galaxy Watch like option 1.

Follow below steps to download and save Spotify music to your Mac/Windows.

1. Run Ondesoft Spotify Converter

2. Choose output format (optional)

3. Select Spotify songs, albums or playlists

Browse or search to find the songs, playlists or albums you want to download with the built-in Spotify web player. Click the red Add to list button to load all songs.

All songs in the playlist or albums will be checked by default. You can uncheck the songs you don't want to download.

4. Click Convert button

Click Convert button to start downloading Spotify music to the format you choose.

After conversion, click below folder icon to quickly locate the DRM-free Spotify songs, albums or playlists in MP3 format. You can then transfer them to your Galaxy Watch.
